Sudaria-Melgar take down struggling Warriors

Adamson’s Michael Sudaria and Rence Melgar, showed their veteran savvy on the sandcourt as the Falcons ousted the Warriors, 22-20, 21-16, for their second win of the tournament.

Coming off a loss against the UST Tigers earlier in the day, the Falcons struggled to gain momentum early in the first set as the UE’s gargantuan Edward Composano controlled the pace with his blocking and spiking. UE would gain match point at 20-19, but ADU would fire off three straight points to steal the set.

A fired-up Michael Sudaria would light up the Warriors with powerful spikes, several off the futile blocks of Composano. Adamson would continue to target the shorter Carlo Almario, who weak attacks were easily picked up by the Falcons.

RECORD:

AdU: 2-1
UE: 0-3

 AGGREGATE SCORE:

ADU: 43
UE: 36

TOTAL MATCH TIME:  36 mins
