Straight from the airport, Ricci Rivero heads to Gilas practice


A long 17-hour flight could not stop Ricci Rivero from attending Gilas Pilipinas’ first practice session for the 2018 Asian Games.

The 20-year-old arrived at the Meralco Gym at around 8:45pm.

Rivero had just landed from Serbia at around 7:00pm.

The UAAP Season 80 Most Improved Player was supposed to return earlier but was delayed.

Rivero was part of the UP Fighting Maroons team that trained in Serbia and Croatia. The Fighting Maroons left Serbia at around 2:00am Monday.

With Rivero, the Asiad-bound Gilas team have 12 players in attendance, with Abu Tratter helping out the in the session and Poy Erram sitting out.
