‘Spiderman’ says he meant no harm: ‘Ang message ko po ay pagmamahal’

The fan who invaded Game Five of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals held his head down as he was being questioned by the police, Araneta’s security, league officials, and media men, Friday evening.

“Ang message ko po ay pagmamahal,” said the fan, who wore a Spider-Man costume, before being taken to Station 7.

The fan rushed to the court with 3:06 left in the game carrying placards that he tried to flash at the crowd. However, he ‘hit’ June Mar Fajardo before playing a game of catch-me-if-you-can with the security.

The paper he held had “Vote Love”, “Heal the Philippines”, “God Bless Us All”, “Our Future is in Our Hands”, “Vote Wisely this May 13”, “Peace for Philippines”, “Love Philippines”, “Vote from the Heart”, and “Support PBA”, among others.

He did not carry any identification card with him.

Two more men, named Flenn John Lola and Rayahn Paredes as per the ID cards they held, were also arrested by the police as they are believed to be accomplices of ‘Spider-Man’.

All three men will be filed with charges by the PBA.
