The reload continues for the NLEX Road Warriors, as the team has figured in a three-team trade with the Globalport Batang Pier and the Phoenix Fuel Masters that will net them Cyrus Baguio, according to multiple sources.
In exchange, the Road Warriors will ship Baracael to Globalport and send theirĀ 2020 second round pick to Phoenix. The Fuel Masters will receive Dylan Ababou as well.
Baguio, 36, last played for coach Yeng Guiao back in 2009 with the Burger King Whoppers. The multi-titled mentor was the one who drafted Baguio back in 2002.
According to a source, Baguio, who is averaging 7.4 points this conference, is in the final year of his contract and wanted a two-year extension. However, Phoenix wereĀ only willing to give him a one-year contract.
Baracael, 32, was traded to NLEX last May 5, 2016. Globalport will be his sixth franchise in six years.
Ababou, 30, only spent five months in Globalport. In eight games played with the Batang Pier, the six-year pro averaged just 4.63 points.
