San Miguel has made a drastic move heading into its tough stretch in the ongoing 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The Beermen have replaced Diamond Stone with Devon Scott, according to the league’s official website.
Scott, 28, is set to arrive on Tuesday.
In three games played, Stone averaged 24.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. However, the Beermen went 1-2 to start their campaign.
Making matters worse for San Miguel is that June Mar Fajardo will be out for one month after having throat surgery.
And San Miguel is hoping that Scott will key the team to a turnaround.
A product of University of Dayton, Scott went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft.
He would go on to play for numerous teams all over the world, including Super City (NZ-NBL), Hispano Americano De Rio (Liga A), Minas (NBB), Hapoel Eilat (I-BSL), Incheon Electroland Elephants (KBL), Ironi Nahariya (I-BSL), Ironi Nahariya ( BIBL), and Reale Mutua (Legadue Gold).
His most recent stint was with Mexico’s Fuerza Regia which saw him put up numbers of 13.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 13 games played.
San Miguel will play Converge next on Friday.
