UP shows solidarity for Bo Perasol

The student-athletes of the University of the Philippines, and the Iskos and Iskas in attendance during their game versus the FEU Tamaraws made sure that Bo Perasol was at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in spirit.

Before tip-off, the sea of maroon inside the venue waved cutouts of Perasol’s face during the pre-game warmups.

Meanwhile, the Fighting Maroons wore shirts with the words “We BOlieve” on it.

According to a team representative, boosters from the NoWhereToGoButUP foundation distributed 300 of the cutouts to the crowd.

Perasol is serving the first of a three-game suspension that was handed to him by the UAAP.

He earned an automatic one-game suspension for incurring two technical fouls during UP’s game against Ateneo last Sunday. The additional two games are for ‘continuous acts of flagrant aggression’.

After UP’s first appeal was denied by UAAP Basketball Commissioner Jensen Ilagan, the school elevated its appeal to the league’s Board of Trustees.

If the appeal would again be denied, Perasol will only make his return on Sunday, October 20, when UP face the Adamson Soaring Falcons at the Ynares Center.
