Bataan trades Santillan, Asistio to Zamboanga

The exodus of the Bataan Risers’ stars continues.

The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League has approved the trade sending Santi Santillan and Anton Asistio to the Zamboanga Family Brand Sardines in two separate transactions, Sunday.

Zamboanga is shipping Joseph Nalos and Mark Macapagal for Asistio. On the other hand, Gino Jumao-As and Steve Cudal were traded for Santillan.

The first transaction between Bataan and Zamboanga, as the Risers sent Alvin Pasaol to the Family Brand Sardines-owned franchise for Reed Juntilla.

The trades were the after-effects of the crisis the Risers experienced over the last few weeks involving their management.

Bataan is currently at ninth place in the Northern Division of the MPBL Lakan Cup with a 6-7 slate. Meanwhile, Zamboanga is at eight in the south with an even 8-8 record.
