Roosevelt Adams leads PBA Bubble rookie crop in SPs


SMART CLARK GIGA CITY — Top pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft Roosevelt Adams is miles ahead in the statistical points race for his batch.

Despite playing unfamiliar positions for Terrafirma Dyip, the 6-foot-5 Filipino-American still posted norms of 10.3 points and 8.1 rebounds inside the PBA bubble to lead the competition with 20.3 SPs.

Trailing with 18.7 SPs is Aaron Black of Meralco.

The second generation cager, who was the 18th overall pick, is one of two players in the top five still competing in the playoffs as of publishing. He is averaging 7.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for 18.7 SPs.

Ninth overall pick Aris Dionisio of Magnolia sits at three with 17.9 SPs.

Rounding out the top five are FEU products Barkley Ebona of Alaska with 17.1 SPs and Arvin Tolentino of Ginebra with 14.6.
