Ronald Tubid is making a comeback.
The 40-year-old will suit up for Terrafirma in the fourth leg of the PBA 3×3 Second Conference on March 19-20 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The development was first confirmed by Dyip governor Bobby Rosales to Tiebreaker Times Wednesday, a day before the league’s announcement.
Tubid has actually been with the ball club for some time now, first as part of coach Johnedel Cardel’s staff before becoming its team manager.
The nine-time champ last played competitive ball two years ago with San Miguel, a stint that ended bitterly due to a brawl during a Beermen practice.
Tubid was no longer given an extension upon the expiration of his contract back in January 2020, eventually leading to his arrival to Terrafirma.
Now, the decorated guard takes the place of Jebb Bulawan and will play alongside Dhon Reverente, Terrence Tumalip and Jeremiah Taladua.
The Dyip are in Pool C, together with Ginebra, Meralco, and Purefoods. They will start their Leg 4 campaign on Saturday against the Gin Kings at 9:15 a.m.
