Two Filipino fighters are set to make their Ultimate Fighting Championship debuts in the preliminary card of Fight Night: Holm vs. Correia on Saturday, June 17, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. But before fight night, all the fighters stepped on the scales on Friday morning.
While second-generation fighter Rolando Dy (8-4) and his opponent Alex Caceres easily cleared the featherweight limit at 146 pounds, former URCC Flyweight Championship CJ de Tomas (8-0) did not, weighing 131 pounds for his flyweight bout.

According to the 20-year-old mixed martial artist, they made a human error when they tried to shed two more pounds early Friday morning.
“This morning, I made a wrong move as I did not weigh-in first before I got to the bath tub again with the epsom salt (dehydrating substance),” De Tomas shared as his team had forgotten to set the right temperature of the water.
“The salt and the water sipped back to my body and I weighed in at 132.8 lbs at around 6:00am. My body had to sweat it out again but it was too late,” he added, as the error increased his weight by four pounds. “I’m really sorry for not making weight.”
As a result, De Tomas was fined 30% of his fight purse, which goes to his opponent Naoki Inoue (10-0). The Japanese fighter checked in at 124 pounds. The fight will now take place at catchweight.
