RK Ilagan, Allyn Bulanadi stay hot as Valencia-Baste torches Chadao-FEU

Behind their sizzling duo, the Valencia City-San Sebastian Golden Harvest stayed unbeaten in the 2019 PBA D-League, whipping the Chadao-FEU Tamaraws, 75-53, Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.

RK Ilagan caught fire and drilled four treys in the fourth quarter to top-score for his side with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. The Golden Harvest remain solo first in the Foundation Group at 2-0.

His hot-shooting allowed the Golden Harvest to deny the Tamaraws after getting to within seven, 56-49, with 7:57 left in the game as they went on a 19-4 blitz to wrap up the game.

“Masyado na talaga siyang nag-mature,” coach Egay Macaraya said of Ilagan. “Sabi ko kanina, silang dalawa ni Allyn (Bulanadi) ang marked men pero nakita niyo yung pasensya. I give credit to the guy.”

Allyn Bulanadi chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds. JM Calma added nine points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks for Valencia-SSCR.

It was a tough defeat to swallow for Chadao-FEU, who also lost center Barkley Ebona to a right knee injury with 1:41 left.

L-Jay Gonzales carried the Tamaraws with 14 points and 10 rebounds, as Ken Tuffin got 10 points.
