Two standout guards from Virtual Playground have formally submitted their requirements for the upcoming 2023 PBA Draft on Friday.
Former La Salle teammates Ricci Rivero and Brent Paraiso will join the upcoming draft.
VP head Charlie Dy confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Rivero, a 6-foot-1 guard, is seen as a mid- to late- first round pick in the draft anticipated to be as deep as the 2021 class.
The 25-year-old guard is as decorated as they come, being the only player in UAAP history to win championships in two different universities.
After graduating from UP, Rivero signed with P.League+ club Taoyuan but was not able to play a single game with the Pilots due to injury.
He then played for one conference with Blackwater in PBA 3×3.
Meanwhile, Paraiso is a 6-foot-2 sniper.
Besides La Salle, he also played for University of Santo Tomas and Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He was a pivotal piece in the Knights’ NCAA Season 98 campaign.
The PBA Draft is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 17 at Market! Market!
