Reyland Torres, Janjan Felicilda join UP in UCBL tourney

Reyland Torres and Janjan Felicilda have left home to go back to their family.

The former National University Bulldogs have joined Goldwin Monteverde in University of the Philippines.

In fact, both guards are suiting up for the Fighting Maroons in the 2022 PG Flex Linoleum-UCBL Pre-Season Tournament.

Torres and Felicilda made their UP debuts during its game against Philippine Christian University at SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

The two left NU a month after UAAP Season 84 ended.

In the end, they reunited with their fellow Bullpups Carl Tamayo, Terrence Fortea, Gerry Abadiano, and Harold Alarcon in Diliman.

Torres, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Bago City, Negros Occidental, averaged 7.86 points, 2.43 rebounds, and 1.29 steals per game. Meanwhile, Felicilda, who stands at 5-foot-7 and hails from Bayugan, Agusan del Sur, posted numbers of 7.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.71 assists, and 1.36 steals.

Other new faces in UP’s lineup are former Mapua Cardinal Cyril Gonzales, UPIS product Aldous Torculas, and San Sebastian high school standout Mark Belmonte.

Torres and Felicilda will have to sit out one year before being eligible for UAAP Season 86.
