Regine Diego leaves NU Lady Bullpups

Regine Diego has let go of the National University Girls’ Volleyball team.

The youthful tactician opted to leave the school late last year.

“I resigned,” revealed Diego.

Diego also left the assistant coach position she held with the Lady Bulldogs. This is unrelated to the resignation of head coach Norman Miguel.

“It’s for personal reasons,” she admitted.

Diego, a product of La Salle, took over the head coaching job of the Lady Bullpups back in Season 82 after the resignation of Babes Castillo.

With student-athletes like Mhicaela Belen, Evangeline Alinsug, Alyssa Solomon, and Camilla Lamina leading the way, she would steer the Lady Bullpups to a 14-0 sweep of the tournament.

All the seniors of the Lady Bullpups have committed to the Lady Bulldogs.

Early 2020, Diego was also named as the head coach of the national team’s youth squad.
