Ray Parks, Blackwater add to NLEX’s woes

The Blackwater Elite regained leadership of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup after handing the struggling NLEX Road Warriors their fifth defeat in as many games, 132-106, Saturday evening at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

A 22-8 scoring blitz broke a 63-all deadlock and gave Blackwater a 75-81 lead with 4:29 remaining in the third quarter. It would be all Elite from then on, as they led by as many as 30 points late in the match.

Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. set the pace for Blackwater with 27 points.

Both teams will play again on June 14, Friday, at SM Mall of Asia Arena. Blackwater will start the double-header by facing the San Miguel Beermen at 4:30 PM, while NLEX will take on the Magnolia Hotshots at the 7 PM main-eventer.
