For the first time in 277 days, Ramil de Jesus is in attendance for a UAAP game.
The 11-time UAAP women’s indoor volleyball coach will be on the sidelines to help call the shots for De La Salle University when it takes on National University later in the day at the Philsports Arena.
First serve is scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
The last time De Jesus actively coached the Lady Spikers was back in Game Two of the UAAP Season 84 Women’s Volleyball Finals last June 21, 2022.
Since then, Noel Orcullo has been the interim head coach of La Salle during the 2022 Shakey’s Super League tournament and the first round of the UAAP Season 85 tournament.
It has been reported that De Jesus was absent from the games due to health reasons, but he has remained active in the team’s practices.
Orcullo has steered the Lady Spikers to a perfect 7-0 record in the first round – including a 25-10, 25-15, 25-21 victory over the Lady Bulldogs last Wednesday.
