Precious Momowei faces suspension, DQ from ROY race due to 2 UFs

Precious Momowei of University of the East has been issued with a one-game suspension.

The suspension comes in the wake of Momowei’s second unsportsmanlike foul during their game against De La Salle University last Sunday.

The 6:43 mark of the second quarter proved to be a pivotal moment, marking Momowei’s second infraction of the season.

As a result, he will be sidelined during the Red Warriors’ crucial clash with the Ateneo Blue Eagles on Wednesday, November 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

His initial unsportsmanlike foul occurred on October 15, 2023, during a first-round faceoff against the Adamson Soaring Falcons. The incident unfolded with a mere 7:38 remaining in the game.

The consequences of Momowei’s actions extend beyond the immediate suspension, as the talented Senegalese freshman is now deemed ineligible for any post-season award.

Momowei is averaging 11.5 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game.
