In a move to further strengthen the national team, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) and the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) are exploring the possibility of including Alas Pilipinas in the league’s upcoming Rookie Draft later this year.
PNVF President Anthony “Tony Boy” Liao announced the development during a press conference at the federation’s headquarters in Taguig City.
Under the proposed arrangement, players selected by the PNVF in the draft would automatically join the Alas Pilipinas Women’s national pool, with their salaries covered by the federation for two years.
After completing their two-year commitment with Alas, players who wish to return to the PVL would need to enter the draft again, subject to the league’s existing rules and eligibility requirements.
Both the federation and the league are still finalizing the details of this special draft.
