PMNVT-Ryujin Nippon exhibition cancelled due to protocols


The exhibition match between Japan and the Philippine men’s team scheduled for Thursday at the Filoil Flying V Centre has been cancelled because of health and safety protocols.

The exhibition matches dubbed Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) International Challenge were a side event of the ongoing Volleyball Nations League Week 2 for men and women at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Four staff members and six players of Ryujin Nippon tested positive for COVID-19.

Supposed to compose the PMNVT were Bryan Bagunas, Marck Espejo, Johnvic De Guzman, Joshua Umandal, Francis Saura, Joshua Retamar, JP Bugaoan, Manuel Sumanguid, Jack Kalingking, Kim Malabunga, Rex Intal, Jessie Lopez, Nico Almendras, and Ysay Marasigan.SEAG-2019-MVB-PHI-d-CAM-Bagunas-2 PMNVT-Ryujin Nippon exhibition cancelled due to protocols News Volleyball  - philippine sports news

Details on ticket refunds will be announced through Ticketnet.

The PNVF apologized to fans who looked forward to to the match which will be on June 27 when the PMNVT takes on Germany.

Two exhibition matches between the Philippine women’s team against Thailand and Japan were staged earlier in the same San Juan venue.
