The exhibition match between Japan and the Philippine men’s team scheduled for Thursday at the Filoil Flying V Centre has been cancelled because of health and safety protocols.
The exhibition matches dubbed Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) International Challenge were a side event of the ongoing Volleyball Nations League Week 2 for men and women at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Four staff members and six players of Ryujin Nippon tested positive for COVID-19.
Supposed to compose the PMNVT were Bryan Bagunas, Marck Espejo, Johnvic De Guzman, Joshua Umandal, Francis Saura, Joshua Retamar, JP Bugaoan, Manuel Sumanguid, Jack Kalingking, Kim Malabunga, Rex Intal, Jessie Lopez, Nico Almendras, and Ysay Marasigan.
