PLDT taps NCAA Best Setter Puzon as guest player

Two-time NCAA Best Setter, Venice Puzon, is joining PLDT in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, as announced by the team on Saturday morning.

Puzon, who still has a year of eligibility left with Lyceum, will join the team as a guest player.

“The team is pleased to welcome Lyceum Lady Pirate’s Venice Puzon, a two-time NCAA best setter, who will be joining the High Speed Hitters in the upcoming PVL Invitational Conference via a guest license,” the team stated.

“Welcome to the PLDT family! We are delighted to have you in our pursuit of that #highspeedUPGRADE. LET’S GO,” the team added.

Puzon becomes the second player acquired by PLDT.

Previously, the High Speed Hitters secured the services of former Army outside hitter Royse Tubino.

Puzon led the Lady Pirates to the finals, where they were defeated by College of St. Benilde in a sweep.
