PLDT adds Russian spiker Anastasiia Bavykina for Reinforced Conference

PLDT is turning up the heat for the 2025 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference with the signing of Russian outside hitter Anastasiia Bavykina.

The High Speed Hitters are aiming to bounce back after finishing fourth in last year’s conference and chase a third straight PVL crown.

Bavykina, 33, fresh from her stint with Yenisey Krasnoyarsk in Russia, will pair with Savannah Davison on the outside, forming a dynamic duo that promises to challenge any defense.

The High Speed Hitters will lean on Kianna Dy at opposite, while Majoy Baron, Mika Reyes, and Dell Palomata anchor the middle to create a balanced lineup designed for both firepower and court coverage.

“Join us as we officially welcome Anastasiia Bavykina to the High Speed Hitters family! She will be joining the PLDT squad in the upcoming 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference,” PLDT said in a social media post.

Standing 6-foot-2, Bavykina adds not only height but also offensive versatility and blocking presence, complementing one of the league’s top defensive units.

PLDT is looking to redeem itself after a heartbreaking semis loss to Akari last year.
