PLDT adds Mich Morente, Ysa Jimenez

PLDT has replenished its roster for the 2023 PVL season.

The High Speed Hitters signed opposite hitters Michelle Morente and young gun Ysa Jimenez to one-year deals.

Morente, 22, is a versatile 5-foot-6 spiker who is a product of both Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.

She was with Black Mamba-Army last season after Perlas took a leave for the 2022 season. Morente also previously played for F2 Logistics in the defunct PSL.

Meanwhile, Jimenez is a product of University of Santo Tomas.

Jimenez decided to forgo her senior year with the Golden Tigresses to turn pro. She entered the school back in UAAP Season 81.

The High Speed Hitters did not renew Eli Soyud, Chin Basas, and Heather Guino-o.

Soyud has since signed with Akari, while Basas went to Cignal.
