Philippine baseball has lost one of its best and finest players.
Jerome Yenson (September 30, 1996-September 24, 2021) was found dead inside his home in Nueva Ecija, early Friday morning.
He was 24.
Yenson, a product of the Nueva Ecija baseball program, entered Adamson back in UAAP Season 76.
During his fifth year, Yenson led the Soaring Falcons to the Season 80 championship, ending the school’s eight-year title drought in the sport after a sweep of De La Salle University.
Yenson was the Best Pitcher and Finals Most Valuable Player of the season.
Yenson went on to join Thunderz in the Philippine Baseball League.
He was also part of the Philippine team from 2018. Yenson was part of the team that won the 2018 East Asia Baseball Cup and 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Yenson is survived by his wife Princess and son Javier.
