Dov Carino had an afternoon to remember as he scored two goals to help the Azkals Development Team secure a 2-1 win over Stallion Laguna in the 2022-2023 Philippines Football League, Sunday, at the PFF National Training Center.
Carino broke the deadlock with a goal in the 8th minute of the match off a Justine Frias assist.
He then received the ball from skipper Stephan Schrock, cut inside from the right flank, and slotted the ball home with a fine finish in the 51st minute to seal the deal for the ADT.
In between Carino’s goals was a strike from Rafael Nogueda in the 46th minute, which came from a wonderful through ball from teammate Leo Henrique.
The result meant that the ADT and Stallion have 15 points each.
However, Stallion Laguna is in fourth place because of a superior goal difference of +17 compared to ADT’s +9.
