The Azkals Development Team ruined the home debut of United City by securing a 2-2 draw in the 2022-2023 Philippines Football League, Saturday, at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium.
Down two goals, Stephan Schrock’s side managed to overturn the tide and come home with a point.
Dov Carino pulled a goal back in the 58th minute to provide the spark ADT needed and then Jacob Maniti scored past Anthony Pinthus in the 77th minute to secure the draw.
Beforehand, goals from Mark Hartmann and Curt Dizon in the 35th and 49th minutes respectively gave the defending champions a dream start, only for them to capitulate in the end.
United City’s Alan Robertson was sent off in the 69th minute for incurring a second yellow card after committing a foul.
The result means that United City remains in second place with 21 points behind six wins and three draws.
On the other hand, the ADT is in fifth place with nine points on the back of two wins, three draws, and three defeats.
