PFF Women’s Cup: Tuloy, FEU join UP at the top

Both Far Eastern University and Tuloy continued to roll in the PFF Women’s Cup last Wednesday, November 16 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmone, Cavite.

Evangelista and Tuloy blast Stallion-Laguna FC 7-0

Louraine Harvey Evangelista led Tuloy’s mastery over Stallion-Laguna with a hat-trick en route to three points to take a position in third place.

Evangelista’s goals put the icing on the cake for Tuloy scoring in the 41st minute, two minutes past the 45th and once in the second half in the 56th minute.

Her teammates added four more with Jenny Perez netting a brace in the 15th and 26th minutes before Jonalyn Lucban’s 33rd minute screamer and Jade Jalique’s contribution in the 38th minute.

“Chamba,” was all Evangelista could say on scoring her first hat-trick of the tournament. The shy 13-year-old later christened Player of the Match also credited much of her progress to their coach Henry Saul who she celebrated the completed hat-trick with during the match.

“Tinutulungan niya kaming maging disiplinado tapos marami pa po,” she added.

FEU romps Ateneo 5-0 as Tolentin nets hat-trick

PFFWC-FEU-def-ADMU-Dionesa-Tolentin PFF Women’s Cup: Tuloy, FEU join UP at the top ADMU FEU Football News PFF Women's League - philippine sports newsDionesa Tolentin can’t stop scoring as she followed up on her scoring exploits last weekend with a hat-trick against Ateneo de Manila University to hand FEU another three points which placed themselves second of the table just behind leader University of the Philippines.

Tolentin scored in the 22nd, 60th and 63rd minutes and was a nightmare to Ateneo’s defenders along with keeper Chelssy Casals.

Prior to her goal rampage, Carmelo Altiche opened fire early for the Tamaraws in the 6th minute after a miscue between Joyce Semacio and Pia Lumagui.

Elna Bongol capped off FEU’s night with a looping strike over the outstretched arms of substitute keeper Adrielle Lee in the 88th minute.

Despite nature making its presence felt in the second half, the ladies of Morayta did not let this affect them and kept playing on as Player of the Match Tolentin later noted.

“Okay lang naman, ang ginawa naman namin at ng mga teammates ko hindi nagpapadala porket umulan naging mahina ba. Basta makinig lagi kay coach, sa mga coaches namin, para walang misunderstanding sa game,” she said.
