Petro Gazz is bringing back the import that gave them their first-ever Premier Volleyball League title.
Wilma Salas will serve as the import for the Angels in the upcoming Reinforced Conference, which kicks off on July 16.
The Angels made the announcement on Wednesday evening.
Salas, along with the late Janisa Johnson, led Petro Gazz to the top of the volleyball world during the 2019 Reinforced Conference.
The 6-foot-2 wing spiker also won the ‘Best Import’ award during the conference.
Since her stint with Petro Gazz, Salas has played with Polish club KPS Chemik Police and Greek squad Olympiacos S.F. Piraeus.
Now 33 years old, Salas will aim to rekindle the magic she had with Petro Gazz four years ago.
The Angels are the defending champions of the tournament, winning the title with Lindsey Vander Weide in 2022.
Last conference, Petro Gazz finished in third place.
