PBL postpones Saturday games due to PSC activity

The showdown between two squads handled by Philippine Men’s Baseball National Team head coach Egay Delos Reyes, namely the IPPC Nationals (0-2) and the NU Bulldogs (1-1), will have to wait a little longer.

This as the slate of games in the 2019 Philippine Baseball League’s Open Conference will be moved from June 1 to June 16 due to a team building activity by the Philippine Sports Commission.

“Due to the team building activity of the Philippine Sports Commission on May 31 and June 1, we will postpone the PBL Games scheduled on June 1. These games will be moved to June 16,” said Philippine Amateur Baseball Association secretary-general Pepe Munoz.

Besides the IPPC-NU tilt, the games between the DLSU Green Batters (1-1) and the UST Golden Sox (0-2) and UP Fighting Maroons (0-2) versus Thunderz All-Stars (2-0) will also be played on the 16th still at the historic Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Games will resume on Sunday, June 2 in a tripleheader headlined by a titanic clash between the KBA Stars (2-0) and the Ateneo Blue Eagles (2-0) at 11:00 am. The RTU Thunder (0-2) take on the Adamson Soaring Falcons (1-1) open the hostilities at 8:00 am while Thunderz (2-0) faces RTU-Alums (2-0) to close out the day at 2:00 pm.
