The 2015 PBA All-star weekend festivities opened up with Jeric Fortuna taking the title on the Obstacle Course challenge, beating 11 other competitors. This was held at the Puerto Princesa Coliseum in Palawan.
Out of the 12 participants, the top three players with the fastest time advanced to the next round. The San Miguel point guard finished the preliminary round with 32 seconds. Along with him who entered the final round were NLEX’s Jonas Villanueva (34 secs) and Alaska’s Chris Bachero (28secs.)
In the final round however, Banchero and Villanueva missed their shots from downtown during the course as they finished with 44.9 and 37.7 ticks respectively.
Fortuna, on the other hand, took only two tries from the downtown and cruised to a 32.1 second finish.
In addition, Fortuna also dethroned the defending champion Mark Barroca who was eliminated in the first round as he finished the course in 38 seconds.
