PBA approves Malonzo to Ginebra trade

Jamie Malonzo and Von Pessumal are officially heading to Ginebra.

The Philippine Basketball Association has approved the three team trade involving Ginebra, Northport, and San Miguel on Tuesday.

The transactions is separated into three parts starting with Malonzo being traded by the Batang Pier to the Barangay.

Northport got Arvin Tolentino, Prince Caperal, and a first round pick in next season’s draft from Ginebra in exchange for last season’s second overall pick.

The Pessumal to Ginebra trade is a little more complicated.

San Miguel will first receive Northport’s second round picks in the 2025 and 2026 PBA Drafts for Pessumal.

Northport will then ship Pessumal to Ginebra for Jeff Chan and Kent Salado.
