PBA allows SGL players, draft hopefuls for ‘On Tour’ games

San Beda head coach and TNT deputy Yuri Escueta will use the PBA on Tour games to help hasten the development of his Red Lions seniors for the upcoming NCAA Season 99 tournament.

The Tropang Giga will have San Beda seniors Clifford Jopia, Damie Cuntapay, Peter Alfaro, and JV Gallego in their lineup for the preseason games, marking a reunion with them and Calvin Oftana.

Also in TNT’s lineup is free agent Joseph Gabayni.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that teams are allowed to field college players in their teams for as long as they have clearance from their mother teams and leagues.

He also added that free agents and draft hopefuls can be added to a team’s roster.

Converge will have draft hopeful Jolo Mendoza in its team while Northport has Letran products Fran Yu and Tommy Olivario.

Ginebra, Magnolia, NLEX, and San Miguel also added some of their 3×3 players to their pool.
