PBA 3×3: Blackwater, San Miguel punch last bus ticket to Grand Finals KO round

Blackwater sent Terrafirma packing, 21-17, to sweep its way to the knockout quarterfinals of the PBA 3×3 Season 3 Second Conference Grand Finals, Monday at the Ayala Malls Glorietta Activity Center in Makati.

Wendell Comboy set the pace with 10 points, including the game-clinching bucket as the Smooth Razor locked the top seed in Pool B with a 2-0 card.

The crew earlier beat Ginebra by way of a 15-14 decision before taking down the Dyip, who bowed out of contention winless in two games.

Blackwater will face CAVITEX, seeded third entering the grand finale, later in the quarterfinals, which has begun as of this posting.

Finishing second in Pool A, on the other hand, are the Gin Kings following their campaign-saving win over Terrafirma, 21-18.

JJ Espanola powered the squad with 12 points as he caught fire from the two-point area to lead them to the next round, where they will have the unenviable task of wielding the upset ax on top-seed TNT Triple Giga.

Emerging as the best team in Pool A, meanwhile, was San Miguel having the more superior quotient compared to the other 1-1 team in Purefoods.

The ninth seed of the tilt opened the day with an 18-13 win over MCFASolver Tech Centrale before losing to the Tender Juicy Titans, 21-19.

Purefoods had the opportunity to clinch the top spot of the group but fell to the guest team, 19-13, but they had the edge in total points scored compared to the latter, thus their entry to the knockout rounds.
