Magnolia will miss its main gunner in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup quarterfinals with Paul Lee ruled out due to injury.
Though activated prior to the playoffs, the star guard won’t see action in their series versus TNT after imaging scans revealed a tear on his left hamstring.
Lee said he’d be out for 4-6 weeks but recovery time could be faster as he’s gone through platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
The 36-year-old got hurt in the Hotshots’ eventual loss to Rain or Shine last December 15 in Bahrain and has yet to return to action since.
Lee, though, said that he could return during the semifinals but that would heavily depend on their upcoming battle versus the Tropang 5G.
Magnolia is in a twice-to-win disadvantage against the no. 3 seed.
