Newly minted Olsen Racela will be reunited with one of his trusted wards at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
Patrick Sleat has moved out of Far Eastern University to transfer to Perpetual Help.
Virtual Playground founder Charlie Dy confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
Sleat, a product of the Baby Tamaraws program, played three years with the Tams.
In 40 games played, he averaged 6.82 points and 3.67 rebounds per game, including norms of 7.71 points and 4.71 rebounds in his junior year under Denok Miranda.
Now, he will show his wares in the NCAA alongside his former head coach.
The start of Racela’s tenure with the Altas has been nothing short of challenging, seeing the departures of Cyrus Nitura, Jun Roque, Carlo Ferreras, among others.
The addition of Sleat will be the school’s biggest acquisition so far and will hopefully lead to stability for Racela’s program.
The 6-foot-2 Sleat will sit out one year before being eligible for NCAA Season 101. He still has two years of eligibility left.
