Parks, Nagoya complete B.League sweep of Ramos, Toyama

Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Nagoya put an emphatic end to its 2021-22 B.League season series against Dwight Ramos and Toyama, taking a 101-75 win, Sunday at Dolphins Arena.

The Diamond Dolphins completed a four-game series sweep against the Grousees, taking a 94-68 triumph last October 16 and a 99-74 win a day later. Yesterday, they took a 90-85 victory.

This time around, Nagoya did not allow Toyama to keep close with them.

Leading by just 46-39 at the half, free throws by Parks sparked a 15-3 rally capped by a Taito Nakahigashi trey to blow the game wide open.

Nagoya led by as much as 29 points multiple times in the final frame.

Nagoya went up to 15-6 in the standings while dropping Toyama to 7-14.

Coty Clarke led Nagoya with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Nakahigashi got 18 points on four treys while Scott Eatherton added 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting with 10 rebounds.

Parks got the better of Ramos as he tallied 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Ramos only had two points on 1-of-7 shooting with four assists.

Joshua Smith paced Toyama with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting with eight rebounds while Brice Johnson got 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Julian Mavunga and Toshiki Kamisawa had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Parks and Nagoya will host Kyoto on Christmas weekend while Ramos and Toyama will welcome Gunma on the same weekend.
