Pamilar accepts Red Spikers coaching job

2017 will be a busy year for legendary volleyball coach Nes Pamilar

After being tapped to revamp the De La Salle University Green Spikers program last season, coach Nes Pamilar will return to the NCAA, as he is set to coach the San Beda College Red Spikers for Season 93.

“Oo, tinanggap ko na yun position [as San Beda head coach],” Pamilar shared the Power Smashers’ four-set win over the Philippine Air Force Thursday night.

Pamilar returns to the Grand Old League after steering Colegio de San Juan de Letran to four championships (three men’s, one women’s) in the early 2000’s. He will take over from Jose Roque.

The Red Spikers are coming off a third place campaign in Season 92, having finished the elimination round with a 7-2 record before being eliminated by the Perpetual Altas in the Final Four.

The team’s core will still be intact for Season 93.
