Fresh from their dominance over the DLSU Lady Tennisters, the NU Lady Bulldogs were hungry to repeat their 5-0 sweep this time against the ADMU Lady Tennisters. Sadly for the Katipunan-based players, this was exactly what they got as the Lady Bulldogs steamrolled them to keep them winless last January 25.
Starting NU’s unrelenting assault in the singles category was Hannah Espinosa who easily obliterated her assignment, ADMU’s Kathleen Espedido, in a straight 6-0, 6-0 matchup. Joining her success was fellow Lady Bulldog Clarice Patrimonio who delivered a similar 6-0, 6-0 beating against ADMU’s Samantha Martin. Capping off the assault in the singles matchups was the other half of NU’s sibling tennisters Christine Patrimonio who also dispatched opponent Khrizelle Sampaton in a 6-3, 6-1 match.
The NU domination continued over into the doubles category as the duo of Ana Bienes and Marie Nagret also displayed a great show of force, blowing past ADMU Jana Exconde and Jessica Lagman in a one-sided 6-0, 6-0 match. Their show of force was soon followed by the duo Jzash Canja and Jennelyn Polito who engaged ADMU’s Jana Hernandez and Shanin Olivarez in what was the closest match between the two universities which ended 6-4, 6-3 in favor of NU.
