Nolasco, Villarin called up for FIBA 3×3 U17 Asia


Camille Nolasco and BJ Villarin will once again don the Gilas jersey.

This time around, the two will headline the Philippine team that will compete in the 2022 FIBA 3×3 Under-17 Asia Cup which takes place from October 13 to 16 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Both Nolasco and Villarin were also part of the girls’ basketball team that competed in the Under-16 and Under-18 youth tournaments.

Joining the two are Villarin’s teammate at Nazareth School-National University in Nicole Pring and Adamson High School standout Arianne Delos Santos.

The young team has an average height of 5-foot-3.

Seeded 13th, Gilas Girls will have to go through the qualifying draw along with Hong Kong and Thailand.

The team that tops the QD will join Sri Lanka and Malaysia in Pool C.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas will not field a boys’ team.
