Larry Fonacier will finally be back on the court.
However, it will be under very different circumstances. The 39-year-old will mark his return in the halfcourt game instead, as he heads CAVITEX in the PBA 3×3.
This will be his first competitive basketball in two years, or since playing for the NLEX Road Warriors back in the 2019 season.
The veteran marksman will represent the Braves together with young guns David Murrell, AC Soberano, and Kyles Lao.
CAVITEX will be handled by Emman Monfort and Borgie Hermida.
Soberano and Murrell were the Road Warriors’ draft selections in 2019 and 2021, respectively. Both guards, though, have yet to play a PBA game.
Lao, meanwhile, has been with the organization since being picked by NLEX in the third round (29th overall) in the 2018 draft proceedings.
The Braves were supposed to have Maurice Shaw, but the league strictly implements a one Fil-foreign player per team rule.
This, after being initially named part of the 3×3 crew.
The 36-year-old Shaw, together with Roi Sumang, was acquired by the Road Warriors from Blackwater in a three-team trade last February.
