NLEX announced Deandre Williams Baldwin as its newest import for the ongoing 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The announcement comes as the team bid farewell to Stokley Chaffee Jr.
The 6-foot-9 forward showcased his prowess during his two-year stint at Evansville, followed by three years with Memphis, where he proved instrumental to their success.
The 27-year-old forward showed his versatility in his senior year, boasting impressive averages of 17.69 points, 8.17 rebounds, 2.91 assists, and 1.46 steals per game.
Now, Williams Baldwin is poised to embark on his professional basketball journey with the Road Warriors.
As Chaffee Jr. concludes his tenure with the Road Warriors, the team expressed gratitude for his contributions, noting an average of 22.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game during his five-game stint.
NLEX went 1-4 during his time with the team.
With a current standing of 3-6 in the Commissioner’s Cup, the Road Warriors are gearing up for a strong finish in the elimination round with the addition of Williams Baldwin.
Williams Baldwin will make his debut on Wednesday, January 10, at 8:00 p.m., as they go head-to-head against the Converge FiberXers at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
