NLEX locks in Tony Semerad, Dom Fajardo with two-year contract extensions

NLEX extended the contracts of forwards Anthony Semerad and Dominick Fajardo for two more years, keeping both key contributors with the team for the long haul.

The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday at the NLEX Compound in Balintawak, with NLEX Corporation President Luis S. Reñon and team governor Ronald T. Dulatre in attendance.

Semerad and Fajardo have been pivotal to NLEX’s strong start in the 2025-26 PBA Philippine Cup, where the Road Warriors currently boast a 6-2 record and have already clinched a spot in the quarterfinals.

Fajardo, the 30th overall pick in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft, has continued his steady growth, posting 5.71 points, 4.14 rebounds, 1.57 assists, and 1.29 steals across seven outings this conference.

Both players expressed gratitude to NLEX management and coaching staff, promising to give their best every time they step on the court.

“I’m so grateful to Boss Ronald and Boss LSR. What NLEX can expect from me in these next two years is a guy who will always give it his all whenever I’m on the court,” said Semerad.

“Nakakatuwa yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng NLEX management katulad nina Boss Ronald and Boss LSR. Nagpapasalamat din ako kay Coach Jong na nilagay nila ako sa sitwasyon na ito. Ipapakita ko lang lagi sa court kung bakit deserve ko tong contract extension,” added Fajardo.
