With Nic Cabañero leading the way, Biñan Tatak Gel downed Bataan, 89-79, to secure back-to-back wins in the 2026 MPBL regular season on Saturday at the Kamalig Sports Complex in Orion.
Cabañero fired 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, alongside six rebounds and two assists, powering his squad to a 5-3 record and fourth place in the South Division.
Biñan took control in the second quarter, unleashing a 27-15 run to overturn a 21-24 first-quarter deficit and build a 48-39 halftime cushion.
Cabañero added seven more points in the third quarter to preserve the road team’s lead, while Carlo Lastimosa and Marc Pingris stepped up late to fend off Bataan’s rally.
Lastimosa finished with 14 points, while Pingris, Michael Mabulac, and Pamboy Raymundo added 10 points each. Kenny Roger Rocacurva also contributed eight points and 11 rebounds.
For Bataan, Hubert Cani led five players in double figures with 12 points, while Alfred Flores, Robbi Darang, and Dante Paguio each chipped in 11. Yvez Sazon added 10 as the Risers dropped to 3-4.
The tournament shifts to the San Andres Sports Complex on Monday, featuring Iloilo and Quezon at 4 p.m., Sarangani and Abra at 6 p.m., and Imus and Pasig at 8 p.m.
