With their motivation as shared by captain Cesca Racraquin, the San Beda College Lady Red Spikers clinched the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four after dispatching the Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals, 18-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-14, Friday afternoon at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Outside hitter Nieza Viray led the pride with 22 points, 17 coming from attacks along with three blocks and two serves. Skipper Racraquin registered a great two-way game with 16 points to go with 14 digs and 11 excellent receptions.
Nonetheless, the incoming Pocari Sweat Lady Warrior asserted that they have a lot of things to work on. “Marami pang areas for improvement na dapat naming gawin. Bawal makuntento kasi.”
At 8-1, San Beda finish in second place heading to the semifinals, which is their best qualifying record in their NCAA participation.
Jayme Lumbo paced the Lady Generals, which matched their last year’s record at 2-7.
