NCAA 99: Perpetual scores massive upset of San Beda, notches 3rd straight win to even slate


University of Perpetual Help System DALTA secured its third consecutive victory in the NCAA Season 99 Seniors Basketball Tournament with a significant 61-57 upset over San Beda University on Friday at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.

After lingering near the bottom of the standings, the Altas climbed to a 7-7 record, positioning themselves to contend for a Final Four spot.

The Altas aim to sustain their winning streak against another top team, Lyceum of the Philippines University, on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The Red Lions are now at risk of falling out of the top four with an 8-5 record, maintaining just a half-game advantage over the fifth-ranked Jose Rizal University.

They will face Mapua University next on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
