NCAA 99: Jun Roque leads Perpetual to stunner vs JRU, rises to 7th


University of Perpetual Help System DALTA received a significant boost to its hopes of reaching the Final Four as it dominated Jose Rizal University with a 72-61 victory in the NCAA Season 99 Seniors Basketball Tournament on Saturday at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.

The Altas improved to a 5-7 record, moving closer to the top of the standings but remaining in the seventh spot.

They aim to capitalize on this victory in their upcoming match against Arellano University on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

The Heavy Bombers fell to 8-5, relinquishing their tie with College of Saint Benilde for the third spot in the standings. They will have an opportunity to climb the rankings again on Tuesday when they face off against the Blazers at 4:00 p.m.
