After a tense overtime loss against the College of Saint Benilde, Jose Rizal University rallied to hand Mapua University its first defeat in the NCAA Season 99 Seniors Basketball Tournament, securing a bounce-back 70-61 victory on Sunday at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.
The Heavy Bombers improved to 2-1 for the season after their bounce-back win. They will face another undefeated team, Emilio Aguinaldo College, on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.
Following the loss, the Cardinals also dropped to 2-1, tying with the Heavy Bombers. They are aiming to regain their winning form against the College of Saint Benilde, also on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.
