NCAA 98: Benilde dumps Arellano, keeps top two within range


College of St. Benilde got a much-needed 83-73 win over Arellano University to further strengthen its chance for a twice-to-beat advantage in the NCAA Season 98 Seniors Basketball Tournament on Sunday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

The Blazers are tied with Colegio de San Juan de Letran at the top of the standings with a 13-4 win-loss record, while the Chiefs dropped to 7-10.

Both will play their final elimination games on Tuesday as CSB will take on San Beda University at 3 PM, while Arellano will be taking on Emilio Aguinaldo College at 12 NN.
