Kai Sotto did not see a single second of action again in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Tuesday (Manila time) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 7-foot-3 big man was once again an onlooker in Orlando’s 85-108 loss to Indiana.
Unlike the Magic’s 89-78 loss to the Detroit Pistons last Sunday, the game against the Pacers was already a rout by halftime with Orlando falling behind, 57-34.
Despite seeing no reprieve in sight, Magic coach Dylan Murphy did not pull the trigger on putting Sotto in despite calls from the crowd to do so.
Also not seeing action for Orlando were the likes of Jamal Bey, JC Butler, Amauri Hardy, Kevon Harris, Malik Ellison, and Au’Diese Toney.
Sotto will hope to see action on Thursday when they take on New York.
Andrew Nembhard led the Pacers with 21 points and six assists.
Bennedict Mathurin got 22 points, six assists, and three rebounds while Isaiah Jackson tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Caleb Houstan paced the Magic with 18 points.
