Two products of University of the Philippines have joined the already-stacked 2021 PBA Rookie Draft.
Hardy floor general Jun Manzo and athletic forward David Murrell submitted their draft applications to the PBA Office in Libis, Pasig on Thursday.
Manzo last played for the Fighting Maroons back in Season 82, averaging 8.4 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
Manzo, a 5-foot-10 guard, transferred from University of the Visayas to UP back in 2016. He was immediately installed as the lead floor general of UP.
After playing his last game for UP, the 23-year-old was tapped by MPBL club Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines. He normed 3.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in nine games played.
On the other hand, Murrell only played two years for UP.
In his second year, the 6-foot-4 forward played nine minutes and 35 seconds per game to post numbers of 1.79 points and 1.93 rebounds per game.
Murrell is turning 25 on November 8, making him no longer eligible for the UAAP.
Murrell played for Cypress Junior College from 2016-17.
