MPL: RSG defeats Blacklist but fails to secure outright upper bracket semis berth

RSG PH took down Blacklist International, 2-1, in the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season, Sunday at the ICITE Auditorium.

Unfortunately, though, RSG PH failed to secure the final upper bracket semis berth as Blacklist International scored a win in Game Two. The latter will instead join ECHO in the second round of the playoffs.

RSG PH put on a dominant showing in Game One, keeping Blacklist International scoreless for the entirety of the 14-minute match, 14-0, to take an early 1-0 advantage.

Eman “EMANN” Sangco (Karrie) led the decimation with seven kills and five assists while Dylan “Light” Catipon (Chou) had a game-high 10 assists across his name.

Blacklist International returned the favor in the second match and scored a lopsided win of its own, 16-13, to even the scores at 1-all. Salic “Hadji” Imam led the way with a perfect 8-0-8 KDA line on Yve.

RSG PH took Game Three for the win.

RSG PH will take on Nexplay EVOS tomorrow, Monday at 5:00 PM while Blacklist International will go up against the top-ranked ECHO later in the day at 7:30 PM.
